to “meet” you!
My name is Sandra Lilienthal. I am responsible for Education at the Family Chavurah. I have a Masters in Jewish Education and have been a Jewish Educator for over 20 years, teaching from preschool children to adults.
But it wasn’t always like this…
I grew up in a very secular environment, and had little knowledge of Judaism until my late teen years. Slowly but surely, I had to learn everything I had never had the opportunity to learn: from how to light candles, to how to pray; from how to make challah to how to celebrate Jewish holidays! It was a long journey, but one in which I cherished every moment.
I have two passions in life: Judaism and teaching. Combining these two in the past 20 years has been a real blessing. I look forward to meeting you at one of our classes or services.
