At The Family
Chavurah, we believe Judaism should be presented
to everybody in the way that is the most
exciting to them. We understand that for
children, formal classes and services are not as
intriguing as they are for adults. Therefore, in
order that children should not believe that
being Jewish is boring and irrelevant to their
lives, we created our Children's Service, in
which the
children are invited to learn new songs and
prayers, hear stories about their ancestors,
learn about the weekly Torah portion and/or
holiday, and play games in an enthusiastic
environment. Throughout the service, they
receive tickets and participate in a raffle in
which two lucky kids win a special treat.
At the end of
the service, the children join their parents and
the other members of the Family Chavurah for
Shabbat Dinner, very much looking forward to the
dessert, of course!
