We are a
group of families that share the love for Jewish
learning and living. We come from different walks of
life, and are together because we believe in sharing
ideas, growing together, and passing down to the next
generation the passion that has kept us alive for over
three millennia.
Our
services are traditional, yet egalitarian. Our prayer
book brings all prayers in both Hebrew and
transliteration so that every one can participate in the
service. No prior knowledge is needed to enjoy the
spirituality of our services. Even though we have a
Rabbi, everyone participates – in one way or another –
in our services.
Instead of
a traditional Hebrew School, which we believe is an
ineffective model in the 21st century, we hold classes
and workshops for families. We work with the whole
family unit, which allows us to teach much more than can
be taught in a couple of hours in a traditional school
setting. The curriculum is tailored in accordance with
where the family knowledge is and with their goals.
Please check out our Education page for more
information.
We believe
that our youngsters need to continue involved in Jewish
life after the Bar/Bat Mitzvah celebration. We have
designed a Youth Program that combines learning,
community service and social activities, all in one.
Our Rabbi
is available for life cycle events - baby namings, Bar
and Bat Mitzvah services, weddings, and funerals - and
for pastoral counseling.
